As Club Manager, you will provide leadership across a diverse team spanning Office Administration, Greenkeeping, Bar and Catering, ensuring all areas of the Club work together effectively to deliver a first-class experience. Comfortable being hands on and visible in your work this is not an Office based position.

The role is hands-on. You will need to understand how a golf course works and how golfers think, and you will need to persuade people, as well as hold a position when you know you are right. We are looking for someone who wants to push standards in every area. Part of that is measurable, and it is where the course sits for example in the Golf World ranking. The rest is not measurable at all. It is what a visitor says on the way home, and it travels faster than any list. Both should improve on your watch.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the Club. This is a high-profile role requiring an individual who can successfully balance the traditions and expectations of a private members’ club with the commercial demands of a modern golf, hospitality and leisure business.

The Food & Beverage Manager is a key leadership role within Thurlestone Golf Club, responsible for delivering an exceptional hospitality experience for members, guests, and visitors. As the face of hospitality at the Club, the role requires a highly visible and hands-on approach. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of the unique demands of a club environment.

Working in close partnership with the Board of Directors, the General Manager will be responsible for delivering the Club’s strategic objectives while holding full P&L accountability and leading the day-to-day operation across all departments. It is a “Team” game you will be supported by a diverse management team, including the Office, Greenkeepers, Bar and Catering, and Golf Operations, you will inspire a culture of excellence, and exceptional member service.
