Overview of Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team following the internal promotion of our Deputy to General Manager. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a robust, efficient, and effective operation across our diverse, multi-faceted Club. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, upholding the highest professional and personal standards while ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and a positive experience for both members and staff.

– Lead, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a supportive environment and championing a culture of empathy towards members, guests, and colleagues.

– Take ownership of analysing member and guest feedback, implementing improvements, and driving continuous service enhancement.

– Actively contribute to Head of Department meetings, supporting strategic planning and operational decision-making

– Support the delivery and monitoring of financial performance across the venue, ensuring targets and budgets are met.

– Use management software to effectively oversee staff rotas, payroll processes, and procurement of supplies.

– Play a key role in driving membership sales and retention through engagement and service excellence.

– Provide direct operational oversight of the Health & Fitness and Spa areas, ensuring exacting standards and compliance.

– Deliver structured inductions for new starters and support ongoing training and development across the team.

About You:

– A minimum of three years supervisory experience in the health and fitness or golf resort sectors.

– Knowledgeable in wet side operations.

– Confident in driving sales and increasing membership subscriptions.

– A hands-on management style.

You live or are willing to relocate to the East Grinstead area and have your own transport.
