Newark Golf Club is a welcoming destination for quality dining, social occasions, events, and golf in Nottinghamshire. Alongside our beautifully maintained 18-hole, parkland course, we offer a modern clubhouse with comprehensive food and beverage facilities and flexible event spaces, making the Club an ideal venue for both members and the wider community.

Our in-house food and beverage team is committed to delivering friendly service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are joining us for a morning coffee, a hearty breakfast, a light lunch or our popular Sunday Carvery, our clubhouse provides a relaxed setting for dining, meeting friends, and enjoying time together.

The newly refurbished clubhouse has been thoughtfully designed to provide versatile spaces for social gatherings, private functions, celebrations, and corporate events. With three private rooms available for hire by both members and the general public, we can accommodate a wide range of occasions. Our main function room can host up to 150 guests for dining, while the flexible space can also be adapted for smaller, more intimate gatherings. From family celebrations and special occasions to business meetings and larger events, our team can help create an experience tailored to your requirements.

Package & Benefits:

- Salary Range: £38,000 to £40,000 pa.

- Annual Bonus: 10% of salary.

- Contracted hours, 40 hours per week.

- Employer pension contributions 3%.

- Holidays 20 days + 8 bank holidays.

- Free meal on duty.

- Complimentary use of the Golf course.

Position Overview:

As Food & Beverage Manager at Newark Golf Club, you will take full ownership of our Food & Beverage operation, leading and developing both the Front of House and Back of House teams. You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of service to our membership and golfing guests, ensuring high standards of food, service and hospitality are consistently maintained. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will have the autonomy to shape the operation, develop your team and make a genuine personal impact on the member and guest experience.

A key focus of the role will be to grow and develop our events and social business, creating new opportunities across private functions, celebrations, weddings, wakes, and corporate events. We are looking for an individual who wants to make a difference, someone who takes pride in what they do, is commercially minded, leads from the front and has the drive to continually improve the operation. With full responsibility and autonomy within the role, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Food & Beverage professional to put their own stamp on a well-established club and play a key part in its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage annual Food & Beverage budgets in line with club strategy and financial targets.

- Act as a key holder, overseeing clubhouse security, opening, and closing procedures.

- Manage clubhouse maintenance, repairs, decoration, and surrounding areas.

- Lead the service team, setting high standards for service, presentation, and professionalism.

- Drive an exceptional member and guest experience across all Food & Beverage operations.

- Manage bar stock, supplier relationships, pricing, and cost-effective purchasing.

- Liaise with members and event organisers to understand requirements and deliver successful events.

- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and responsible alcohol service requirements.

About You:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality management, ideally within a quality-led club, hotel, restaurant, or leisure environment.

- Commercially astute with a proven track record of developing and growing a successful food and beverage operation.

- Flexible and willing to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to meet the operational needs of the Club.

- Based within thirty-minute commute of Newark Golf Club, with access to your own transport.
