Overview of the Role & Person
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Golf Operations Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our golf operation, ensuring the highest standards of service and enjoyment for our members. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating a golf programme that is highly regarded by our membership, while managing the Golf Pro Shop and related services to meet the needs of our members.
In this role, you will design and promote golf activities, manage club competitions, and ensure green fee and equipment hire targets are met. You will oversee the efficient use of tee times and marshalling, while recruiting and developing a team to deliver exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will also include managing the shop’s inventory, monitoring revenue, and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to organise golf tournaments.

Experience as Golf Professional or Golf Operations Manager at a recognised golf club is desirable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
– Oversee the day-to-day Club’s golf operation and Golf Shop to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences.
– Work with the Club Committee to manage competitions.
– Drive green fee, retail and ancillary revenue performance in line with annual budget targets.
– Maximise tee sheet efficiency, golf course usage and member diary administration.
– Manage and develop the golf operations team including Pro Shop Assistants, Marshals and Range staff.
– Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service standards across all golf operations.
– Oversee Golf Shop merchandising, stock control and retail sales performance.
– Manage golf buggy and trolley operations to achieve revenue targets and operational standards.
– Maintain accurate reporting on golf revenue, rounds played and departmental performance.
– Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support the planning and delivery of golf days and tournaments
– Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, fire safety and operational procedures.
– Conduct regular team inductions, performance reviews and ongoing staff development.
– Support recruitment, onboarding and people management processes within the department.
– Attend management meetings and collaborate with senior leadership on golf course and operational improvements.
– Act as a positive ambassador for The Club Company and uphold exceptional standards of professionalism and service.
