We are seeking a Sales Manager with experience in a similar role, sound knowledge of sales processes, and a proven track record in delivering results while leading and developing a team. This is a hands-on role, setting the benchmark for the team while working closely with the General Manager to achieve the financial objectives of the business.

Position Overview:
In this role, you will drive revenue and grow Thornbury’s customer base by leading events, membership and golf days sales, all while enhancing the guest experience and strengthening the club’s reputation. You will lead and train junior sales or support staff, working closely with the management team to refine procedures, improve efficiency, and consistently boost results.
The role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring a client-focused, proactive, and well-organised individual who excels at building strong relationships.
– Develop and execute strategies to boost new and renewing memberships.
– Manage promotion and sales of events and golf-day packages to individuals and groups.
– Hit quarterly and annual targets for memberships and event bookings.
– Attend community and business networking events to generate new leads.
– Guide clients through initial inquiry, club tour, booking, and on-site experience.
– Coordinate with operations (pro shop, F&B, course staff) to ensure seamless delivery.
– Provide post-event follow-up to support client retention and referrals.
– Build pipelines via outbound calls, digital campaigns, and in-person outreach.
– Utilise CRM tools to track interactions, update forecasts, and report on performance
About You:
– Three year’s experience in selling within Events, Leisure, or Golf environments.
– Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on performance and KPIs
– Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings
– Independently mobile, living within a 45-minute commute of the venue
